Ace Jet 170
Ace Jet 170 is Richard Weston; designer, writer, finder. His blog is an outpouring of all three endeavours; a record of ‘found type, print and stuff’ which began in the dim and distant past, when such technological formats were new-fangled. For well over a decade, readers of Ace Jet 170 have enjoyed an ongoing, over the shoulder view of Richard’s collection of collections.
Ace Jet 170 re-purposes found things for new compositions. In a way, they are ‘ready-mades’ which attempt – through editing, arrangement and titling – to hint that there is more going on here than meets the eye.
Born in the land-locked middle lands of England (AKA, ‘The Midlands’), Richard and his family now live in Belfast, Northern Ireland – the bit of Ireland that’s actually part of the UK – and works as an Interpretation Designer on projects with a cultural or heritage leaning.
